Rahu Grah
Rahu Grah is known as the North Node of the Moon in Vedic astrology and is a shadow planet (Chhaya Grah) that does not have a physical form. Rahu represents illusion (Maya), desires, confusion, obsession, foreign connections, materialism, and sudden gains or losses.
When Rahu is well-placed, it can bring worldly success, innovation, fame, and breakthroughs. However, when afflicted or malefic, it leads to addictions, mental stress, legal problems, deception, phobias, or obstacles in career and relationships. To calm Rahu’s malefic influence, Rahu Grah Shanti Puja is performed.
Main Rituals of Rahu Grah Shanti
- Performing Rahu Grah Jaap (usually 18,000 times of Rahu Beej Mantra).
- Offering blue flowers, black sesame seeds, and coconut in flowing water.
- Chanting the Rahu Beej Mantra: "Om Bhram Bhreem Bhroum Sah Rahave Namah".
- Worshipping Goddess Durga or Bhairava on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
- Donating items like black blankets, mustard oil, or radish (mooli).
Rahu Shanti Puja brings mental clarity, removes illusionary fears, improves decision-making, and removes unexpected challenges in life.
