Shani Grah
Shani Grah (Saturn) is the planet of discipline, karma, justice, and endurance in Vedic astrology. Shani Dev rewards individuals based on their deeds and actions. While a well-placed Shani can bring long-term success, patience, and structure, a malefic or afflicted Saturn may result in delays, suffering, financial losses, legal troubles, or emotional hardship—especially during Sade Sati or Dhaiya phases.
To reduce the adverse effects of Saturn, people perform the Shani Grah Shanti Puja, chant mantras, offer oil and black items, and seek divine blessings. This puja invokes patience, protection, karmic cleansing, and justice in life.
Main Rituals of Shani Grah Shanti
- Shani Grah Shanti Puja performed by a qualified priest or astrologer.
- Recitation of Shani Beej Mantra or Shani Jaap (usually 23,000 times).
- Offering mustard oil, black sesame seeds, and urad dal on a Saturday.
- Visiting Shani temples and lighting a mustard oil diya under a Peepal tree.
- Wearing blue sapphire (neelam) or iron ring (after astrological advice).
Shani Puja helps in removing blockages, overcoming fear, and gaining strength to face life’s challenges with discipline and humility.
